Great memories with friends and family, making ornaments, visiting Scrooge, puppet show, the shuttle. Every year there is something new and different.

To me, it means, gathering up the family and spreading joy, cheer and love. Keeping traditions and making Christmas memories. Showing kids and now grandkids the old fashioned feeling of Christmas.

We started taking the granddaughters when they were little; they always had such fun decorating cookies, watching the magic show, petting the reindeer, riding the trolly and most importantly, making memories.

Simply put, tradition! We look forward to Victorian Christmas in our sweet town every year as it is a marker for our family that the Christmas season is โofficially here!โ We missed it terribly when we moved out of state for a few years.

It brings us back to a simpler times. Meals brought everyone together. Children were not overloaded with toys and gifts. There was a beautiful holiday atmosphere that went beyond just buying gifts. I love how we are given a small taste of those Christmas celebrations at the Victorian Christmas. We leave with smiles and ideas that we can incorporate into our own celebrations.

Victorian Christmas is a magical time of year that brings our community together. It’s tradition and celebration of the holiday season. My kids are 15 and 12, and they will say..” It’s our favorite day of the year!” They wouldn’t miss it for anything. Our family so appreciates all the work that is put into making this a successful event every year!

I still have not been but I do live in town near a trolley stop. One year I was out putting my Christmas lights up and a woman in Dickens-era dress came over to ask me a question and I absolutely loved seeing her all dressed up! We seem to be out of town most years when Victorian Christmas happens but maybe this year we will finally make it!!

Itโs a highlight of the season I donโt ever wanna miss!
